About MixVials
MixVials is made by an independent hobbyist. There is no company behind it, nothing to buy and nothing to sign up for.
It exists for one reason: to help people mix vials correctly and avoid measuring mistakes. Turning a vial size, an amount of water and a syringe into units is simple arithmetic, but it is easy to slip by a factor of ten, mix up mg and mcg, or misread a syringe. MixVials does that arithmetic one question at a time and shows its working.
How the math was checked
- Formulas. Every result comes from the standard U-100 formulas: concentration = amount in vial ÷ water, each unit = concentration ÷ 100, units = amount ÷ concentration × 100. The result screen writes them out with your own numbers.
- Automated tests. The calculator code has a test suite that checks the math, the unit conversions, the water limit and the warnings every time it changes.
- Hand checks. Worked examples were checked by hand against the calculator output.
What MixVials is not
MixVials is a math and handling guide, not medical advice. It doesn't recommend any substance or dose. Where a dosing schedule is shown, it is what a published trial or official label did, with a link to that source so you can read it yourself.
