Privacy
Short version: what you type into MixVials never leaves your device.
Your inputs stay on your device
- All the math runs in your browser. Vial sizes, water, syringe and amounts are never sent to a server.
- There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no cookies, no ads, no analytics and no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers.
Local storage
So you can pick up where you left off, your last answers are saved in your browser’s local storage under the name mixvials.wizard. Local storage lives only on this device and in this browser. It is not a cookie and it is not sent with any request.
To remove it, tap Clear on the calculator, or clear this site’s data in your browser settings. If your browser blocks storage, the calculator still works; it just won’t remember your answers.
Offline mode and the service worker
After your first visit, a small script called a service worker saves the site’s own files (pages, styles, scripts and images) in your browser’s cache, so the calculator keeps working with no connection. It only stores MixVials files. It never stores or sends what you type. The how-to video is not saved for offline use and streams when you play it.
Loading the site
Like any website, your browser has to request the page files from the host (Cloudflare). Those requests contain no calculator inputs. MixVials doesn’t add analytics on top of that, and the site tells your browser not to send referrer information.
Links to sources
Dosing sources link to public pages such as PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov and the FDA. They open in a new tab without sending which page you came from. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
